connector/dataplane/http_request

Fetch data from a data-plane endpoint using an EDR token.

This is the far end of the DSP flow: do_dsp or initiate_transfer returns where the data is and how to authorize for it, and this step reads exactly those two variables.

Inputs

Parameter Type Required Default Also accepts Description
headers object no {} — Extra HTTP headers merged into the request.
timeout number no None — Request timeout in seconds; the test's default is used when omitted.
method string no 'GET' — HTTP method.
body any no None — Request body; dicts are sent as JSON.
dataplane_url any no None — Data-plane URL, or a data address object to read it from; falls back to the 'dataplane_url' context variable.
path string no '' — Path appended to the data-plane URL.
edr_token string no None — EDR authorization token; falls back to the 'edr_token' context variable when omitted. An explicit '' asks for the call to be made with no token at all — e.g. a negative-path test proving the endpoint is protected — and is honoured as given rather than falling back.

Experimental inputs — extension labs, needs extensions: [labs]

Parameter Type Required Default Also accepts Description
retry_on list of integer yes — — Status codes that make the call run again, e.g. [404, 503].
retry_attempts integer no 3 — Calls in total, the first one included.
retry_delay_s number no 1.0 — Seconds to wait between two calls.

Output — the value assertions and returns: read

A response body: parsed JSON when the server sent JSON, otherwise the raw text.
