Get to Know Us β The New Eclipse Tractus-X About Us Page
Hi Everyone π,
Who is behind Eclipse Tractus-X? How do so many organizations build one open-source project together? And where is the project heading? Until now, the answers were spread across blog posts, meeting minutes and presentations. That changes today: we are happy to present our brand-new About Us page! π
Community Built. Open to everyone. β that is the message at the heart of the page. Eclipse Tractus-X brings together contributors from different organizations, open-source projects, industry initiatives and independent companies, and the new page tells that story in one place.

π§ What You Will Findβ
π Our Ecosystemβ
Industry initiatives, open-source projects, companies and individual developers all play a different role in the project. A new diagram shows how these groups connect and how their knowledge flows into shared building blocks.

π€ Organizations Engaged in Eclipse Tractus-Xβ
A logo carousel introduces organizations whose teams help build and support the project, from industry associations and research institutes to OEMs, suppliers and service providers.

π Our Historyβ
A timeline takes you from the initial contribution by the Catena-X consortia in 2023, through the KIT 2.0 architecture, the extension beyond automotive and the cross-industry collaboration with Factory-X and the Eclipse Dataspace Working Group, all the way to what is ahead.

π The Tractus-X Accelerator (2026 β 2029)β
The newest milestone on the timeline is the Tractus-X Accelerator, a cohort-based support program for projects, developers and organizations, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). It lowers the technical and organizational barriers to entry and focuses on:
- Structured onboarding and qualification of new projects and developers
- Test and development infrastructure
- Targeted mentoring by experienced community members
- Further development of governance, release and quality processes
- Sustainable community and exchange formats

More information is about to come soon!
Our upcoming Second International Eclipse Tractus-X Hackathon on November 6, 2026 at ARENA2036 is organized as part of the Accelerator.
π οΈ How We Work and What We Createβ
The page also explains how we get from shared needs to shared solutions, gives an overview of our open-source software and KITs, and shows how we collaborate under the Eclipse Foundation and together with the Eclipse Dataspace Working Group.

π New Elements on the Home Pageβ
The home page did not stay untouched either. Together with the About Us page we added a few new elements so you get the most important information right when you land on the website:
- π° News ticker β right below the welcome banner you now find our latest news at a glance. Browse through the entries with the arrows or the dots, or just let it rotate; it pauses while you hover over it. On small screens the controls stack neatly below the headline.
- β¨ About Us teaser β a short introduction of what Eclipse Tractus-X is all about, with a direct link to the new About Us page.
- π€ Our Community Partners β the organization carousel from the About Us page is also shown on the home page, so visitors immediately see who supports and contributes to the project.
- π¬ Community sneak peek β watch the aftermovie of our Sixth Community Days, get a first impression of the Seventh Community Days in December, and jump directly into our Community Office Hours.

And of course everything works on your phone as well:

π Take a Lookβ
Visit the new About Us page and share it with colleagues who want to understand what Eclipse Tractus-X is all about.
Is your organization contributing to Eclipse Tractus-X and missing from the page? Or do you have ideas on how to improve it? Open an issue or a pull request in our website repository β like everything we do, this page is open source too. π
See you in the community!
